In 2007, Emergence will be a symbol for "following your heart", encouraging people to be aware of the ecology of the planet in their deepest core -- thinking green, feeling green, and living green. When we have Green in our hearts, when we have a passion for the planet, then we can face adversity and achieve our dreams.
Emergence provides a shaded seating area for transporting passengers around the playa, and a moving display of the Green Heart - the joy in your heart when you know your doing it right.
From the front one will see a heart approaching, and from the back a heart receding. On the sides, a grove of green hearts will symbolize love and compassion for life. Green is the symbol of planetary awareness, and the heart is the symbol of compassion and strength.
Emergence services its dusty playa visitors by offering cold Emergen-C from the bar. At night, Emergence mutates into a well lit, lively, hopping dance scene. The vehicle includes a portable dance floor (with dance poles) on the front hood, safely accommodating eight dancers, a no-host bar, and a lounge in the back with seating for up to twelve people.
Emergence debuted in 2005 in the form of a caterpillar, then mutated in 2006 into a large praying mantis.
