The lounge is new but similar to the "playdium" offered in 2003. We will also have a small "bureau of pleasure", a decopaged bureau and mirror for treasures of all sorts, and docks for two mutant vehicles. In addition, we hope to be neighbors to the Department of Tethered Aviation (DOTA), who are providing the flailing lounge that we share, and the DOTA dome, which will be staffed in the evenings by two professional DJs from OBOP this year. Interactivity Description: ------------------------- OBOP brings an attitude of sexy and creative hospitality to the Playa. Our Ojai tribe gathers regularly and has become quite tight over the years. We believe in making everyone feel comfortable and at home, in pitching in with minds and hearts, and Leaving No Trace. The Throne of God has been an extremely successful interactive event (many people have told us it was their best experience at Burning Man), and while there is some interest in updating it in this its fourth year, there is also a feeling that we shouldn't mess with success. The Yin Yang lounge will offer a variety of interactive events in the day such as yoga, improv, and body painting. They are trained in fire safety. A dedicated safety person is always in place at performances, with a fire extinguisher and first at kit at hand. Burn Shield Protection Plan / Burn Platform: ------------------------------------------- no burn Leave No Trace: -------------- Cleanup Plan We will designate a team of at least four camp members to be a cleanup crew. In addition, each theme project will have its own teardown and cleanup crew. We are again fully prepared to leave our own campsite completely free from MOOP. We also plan to inspect and clean the road and Playa area across from our camp. The majority of our camp members are veterans to the Playa, so we have considered waste management in all of our planning. Again this year, a great deal of our food will be prepared in advance and stored so very little trash will accumulate. The design of our theme camp art has taken the Playa conditions into consideration, especially the wind. We will not have any decorations that can be blown away in the Playa dust storms we have grown to love. We have already decided on what gets burned and what gets taken home. We have plenty of vehicle space for trash and recycling. The majority of our grey water will be collected in the RVs in our camp. Shower water will be collected in empty 55 gallon drums we are bringing, though a good portion may be evaporated by a scaled up version of a system tested last year at the Alternative Energy cmamp. We hope to get our grey water tanks pumped during the week to relieve the burden. This year three of our campers have significant experience with trash management at large events and will be organizing a complete recycling program for bottles, cans, and paper. A printed version of the Earth Guardian's Cleanup Plan Basics and Leave No Trace Philosophy will be distributed to our members. We will educate our first-timers to the "don't let it hit the ground" approach to LNT, and this year we are asking our members to sign an "agreement" that clearly outlines their role in this process.
